1. Sindh Public Service Commission – An Overview

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is a constitutional body established under Article 265-A of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. It is mandated to make recruitment to provincial services and posts in the province of Sindh on merit through open competition in accordance with the prescribed rules.

The Commission is assisted by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary, who is a civil servant of Grade-20. The Secretariat consists of such other officers and employees as may be necessary for the efficient discharge of the functions of the Commission.

The Commission may, with the approval of the Governor, make regulations for the conduct of its business and for the efficient discharge of its functions.

The Commission is required to submit an annual report to the Governor on the working of the Commission during the year.
